Studies show that of those who try to quit smoking alone without any additional help or support (hypnosis or otherwise), the success rate is very low. Only between 2-5% of those who try are successful after 12 months, with most failing in the first 2-3 weeks.

The reasons for such dismal results are that smoking is a habit. Like all habits, can be a challenge to break. Smoking has become a ritual, and a part of your daily life. As human beings, we love rituals, and we hate rebelling against our habits. Not only is smoking a psychological habit, it’s also a physical addiction. In fact, about 90% of smokers are clinically addicted to smoking.

When you’re faced with both psychological and physical stress, it’s no wonder it’s such a challenge to quit.

Quit Smoking candidates engaging in a behaviour modification program, nicotine replacement, or a Zyban medication approach alone average about a 25% success rate after a 12-month period, and up to a 50% success rate when using a combination of these methods.

An examination of multiple research studies show that a multi-session hypnosis treatment program to stop smoking produced about a 66% success rate after a 6-12 month period when engaging in at least 4-5 sessions of hypnosis quit smoking.

Smokers who quit before age 50 have half the risk of dying in the next 15 years compared with those who continue to smoke.

Quitting smoking substantially decreases the risk of cancer of the lung, larynx, pharynx, oesophagus, mouth, pancreas, bladder, and cervix.

Benefits of quitting include risk reduction for other major diseases including coronary heart disease, lung diseases, and cardiovascular disease.
 
Smokers have three times the death rate in middle age (between the ages of 35 and 69) than non-smokers and about half of regular cigarette smokers will eventually be killed by their habit.

There is now strong evidence of the adverse health consequences of passive smoking. The risk of lung cancer is increased in non-smoking women who have husbands who smoke tobacco.

There also appears to be an increased risk of myocardial infarction due to exposure to other peoples smoke and the adverse health consequences in children whose parents smoke includes an increase in the frequency and severity of asthma. New studies include your pets in the list of those adversely affected by second hand smoke.

Smokers have 15-25 times the cancer rate of non-smokers

Non-smoking spouses have a 35% higher risk of lung cancer if their spouse smokes

85% of lung cancer in men and 75% in women is caused directly by cigarette smoking

A smoker at the age of 25, will reduce their life expectancy by 25%

And here are some amazing facts about the health benefits you can receive even 20 minutes after quitting.

Stopping Smoking Doesn't Cost... It Pays

moneySmoking ONE pack of cigarettes a day costs about $3,000 a year! If you saved that money and put it in the bank, you’d have a $90,000 "nest egg" after thirty (30) years.

You will also save 30% on your life insurance costs.

With what you save on not buying tobacco, you can take an all expense paid vacation for 2 to an exotic island every year!

To look at it another way. As soon as you stop, ALL the smoking related expenses become your saving!
